Stinging Nettle is a nutrient-rich food (cooking and drying neutralizes the stinging) and both the leaves and roots boasts a number of potent medicinal properties. The dried plant can also be used as livestock feed. This herbaceous plant can grow to 6 feet in height and is an important food source for several butterfly species.
