A cold hardy version, Javid's Iranian almonds are prized for their rich, sweet flavor, high oil content, crunchy texture, and distinct light brown color. The trees grow fast and vigorously and produce abundantly at a very young age. Almonds are related to peaches and look similar; with the fruit looking like a under-ripe peach. The semi-dwarf trees are late flowering, self-fertile and disease-resistant.
